Activities
Leaders for Nature offers an annual programme of activities for selected target groups within companies.
- Leaders for Nature Forum & follow-up meetings
The LFN Forum aims to build momentum among young professionals, middle managers and executives. It intends to achieve concrete commitments and action plans for the year ahead in order to contribute to the sustainability agenda and to decrease the ecological impact of business activities. The LFN Forum is followed up by regular meetings and support by a web community. Impressions of previous forums. - Inspirational Meetings
An Inspirational Meeting addresses a topic in a very general way. The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness and to create a better understanding of a particular issue at stake. Impressions of previous meetings. - Master Classes
Master classes offer an opportunity for a more in-depth approach of a particular topic. An expert explains how to apply the content of a specific topic to business cases. Examples are cradle-to-cradle and 'the business case for biodiversity'. Impressions of previous classes. - High level meetings
During these meetings, executives and ministers get together to discuss sustainability and biodiversity issues. For example, three ministers and 26 business leaders met in The Hague in 2008 in order to scale the existing initiatives on sustainability and biodiversity. Impressions of previous meetings. - Learning Programme
One of the learning programmes is “The Leadership Journey in Nature” with John Milton, which takes place in La Grave, France. In 2010, a start will also be made with “The Necessary Revolution” training, which is based on Peter Senge's book on ways to integrate system thinking into the business. Impression of previous learning programme. - Action learning groups
Action learning groups are self-organized action groups. Members engage in a confidential setting in order to exchange practical solutions regarding a specific theme. The purpose is to gain more in-depth understanding and create opportunities to apply solutions within and across companies. - Web community
The web community aligns, harnesses and focuses the intelligence and energy of people and organizations. The community is designed around Action learning groups, best practices, thematic documents and a synchronicity tool to facilitate contacts between people who are working on the same issues.
